Igor Egorov: "Queally takes his time, he can go all rounds, he has stamina."

Igor Egorov, who fights Peter Queally on April 28th at FIGHT NIGHTS GLOBAL 64 in Moscow, talks about British MMA, his urge to use himself to his full capability in the fight

- Igor, you're having your second fight with a British MMA fighter. How do you evaluate fighters from Great Britain?

- The British are all good at punching technique. If you look at the top UFC British fighters, they all are punchers, they prefer stand-up. This statement is also true in regard to Jack McGann, my previous opponent, 10 of his 11 wins were KOs. The Brits have a week spot - wrestling - but they work with the best grapplers and BJJ coaches so their situation is changing for the better.

- Compare Queally and McGann. What do they have in common, who is more of a danger?

- Like I said, they are punchers because they are British. McGann is agressive, he rushes to win the fight early and Queally takes his time, he can go all rounds, he has stamina. This is dangerous.

- What is your prognosis of the upcoming fight with Queally? Almost all your fights went inside the distance, Queally, on the contrary had all his 12 fights won by decisions. How do you think the match will go this time?

- I'd be happy to finish him inside the distance but I don't focus on that. The main goal is to show maximum in each aspect, make the fight go as we planned it with coaches. If I fulfil these obligations, the victory is mine. And if so, who cares was it early or by a decision.
